Evans Gyapong

1st Year Graduate Student

Evans received a BSc. Chemistry degree from the University of Energy and Natural Resources in Ghana. He further earned an MPhil Chemistry from the University of Ghana, where his research focused on the discovery of microbial natural products in expansion of the current chemical library for antimicrobial drugs. Evans joined the Rudolf lab in Fall 2025, where he seeks to recruit cutting-edge techniques like genome mining and biosynthetic strategies to unlock the chemical potential of microbes, specifically focusing on expanding the bacterial terpene universe. Outside of the lab, Evans enjoys listening to country music, travelling, and spending time in solitude.
